Little fingers

I love it when you fall asleep holding my finger with your tiny little fingers.

Sleepless in Illinois

Everyone keeps telling me to "cherish these days", and "savor every moment" and so on but when you are keeping your mommy and daddy up every single night and have to be held every moment, you make it very hard not to wish we could just fast forward to when you sleep through the night. Right now you are asleep on my lap and your little eyelids are fluttering as you dream and you coo and make sweet content noises all wrapped up in a warm blanket. I am looking at your face knowing that you will only be little for the blink of an eye, no matter how exhausted I am. Your daddy and I love you so much. We rock you, bounce you, walk with you, sing to you and let you sleep on our chests just to calm you and let you know we are close to you. Keep on growing little man and we will sleep when you are older.

Mini milestones

Day 6 - you have been smiling whenever you are done eating and I even caught a little laugh out of you. You are so cute.

Day 8 - you peed on me when we were going to give you a bath. Your daddy thought it was pretty funny.

Day 9 - you were circumcised. (Poor baby, this was a very rough day)

Night 9 - very rough night. You were still so upset from the day that you decided to projectile vomit all over mommy, my bed, your clothes and everything at about 2 in the morning.

Day 10- your umbilical cord fell off.

Ice Cream

You have the most amazing daddy ever. He just got done working a big long day and went to the store to buy me my favorite ice cream as s treat. I'm so glad I married your daddy.

Hello my love!

I cannot believe you belong to your daddy and I. We have only had you for a few days and yet I can't imagine life without you. I hope these letters will help capture some of your milestones, special moments and memories as you grow up big and strong.
